Introduction

Hypnosis is a much more common phenomenon than most people realize.

Often people have ‘hypnotized’ themselves into expecting certain results. If those results serve them, there’s little need to explore the process further, but if the person is not served by their expectations or beliefs; if they are, in effect, sabotaging themselves, much can be gained by changing their expectations.

Beliefs and associations, some of which were formed in childhood, have a profound influence on your life. To illustrate this influence, it’s helpful to look at the phenomena of MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder)

A person with MPD, or a ‘Multiple’, has two or more distinct personalities inhabiting one body. Each personality possesses a different brain-wave pattern. The biological changes that take place in a Multiple's body when they switch personalities can be astonishing. Frequently a medical condition possessed by one personality will mysteriously vanish when another personality takes over.

Dr. Bennet Braun of the International Society for the Study of Multiple Personality, in Chicago, has documented numerous cases that demonstrate the incredible power of someone’s mind to affect their body. His studies demonstrate complete changes in symptoms from one personality to another in cases of sobriety, response to drugs, allergies, even maladies such as diabetes and epilepsy. Other conditions that can vary from personality to personality include scars, burn marks, cysts, tumors, visual acuity, color blindness, and left and right-handedness. Even eye color can change. 1

If the mind is capable of these incredible feats, just how much of any given physical effect is created or controlled by your perception of it….your expectations or beliefs? A hypnotherapist can be thought of as a professional belief system enhancer. We help you build a more empowering image of yourself. The powerful and rapid changes facilitated by hypnosis can seem magical. The magic however, is in the power of your own mind. Let us help you discover what your mind can do.

Testimonials

Regina Wollenberg 3-20-2011
I had been trying to quit smoking for years. I tried pills, patches, herbdrops and willpower. Nothing worked for long. For the few days or weeks I did quit smoking, I thought about cigarettes all the time and I became irritable and unpleasant to be around. After my hypnotherapy session I felt free. I knew I was finished with cigarettes forever. I don’t think about cigarettes. The old triggers are no longer active and there are no instances of irritability related to smoking. In addition, I learned a stress management technique that I can use in all other areas of my life. Thank you! Bonnie. This was the best choice I could have made for myself.
